Wow.... And you KNOW that we like you, Dana. For one thing, you're the only one around here our own species. And Adam did keep your exact wherabouts a secret, even from us. And anyone who got a chance pleaded with Melissa to stop worrying about you, that you were just an innocent who was startled by someone taking over her aunt's website.

First off, we're all sorry for where you're standing right now. The situation you're in probably can't be explained without using a choice selection of profanity.
Second, I also realize that we couldn't get a snail mail address for you if we tried; furthermore, even if we did get one, the method by which we did would just make this even more of a problem. While you never really bothered to talk to me, it pains me that, right now, you can't talk to anyone - kinda like the Princess in the beginning of all this.
Since offering hollow words of sympathy plus a cup of Earl Grey will get you a Jars of Clay song title, at best, I'll just summarize the day's sound clips, and what we're learning.
Durga had some other AI or somesuch in her head, too, it seems. The voice was male...if it's not the Flea, then we haven't heard enough yet.
Durga still had enough sense to monitor Janissary James, who's getting the torture treatment. Her "dad" has been offed in front of her, and, as a bonus, they have a device hooked up to her head that shocks you if you hate a specific person - "Cupid's Knife". It's set to the guy responsible for the offing. Believe me, she's doing - or will be doing at some point in the far future - much worse than you at the moment.
To finish the drama, Aiden asked Kamal about the feasibility of flash-cloning pop stars. Somewhere in the explanation, two and two added up to a nervous breakdown, and to Sophie he went for consolation.
It's a bad day all around. Trust me. Even for Cheney, who's going to feel some pressure in, oh, two minutes or so.

Well, im not worried about Dana being caught on the Blogger itself, concidering this website has no connection to I love Bees itself. This is a true to life blogger and Melissa dosent seem to have a hold over the bloggers server at all.
Now, if she posted information that could possible lead to not goodness, I would much perfer Dana to keep on the hush hush for her own safety. Sorry Dana :(. The crew will talk a bit more, hopefully we'll get EVERYONE to agree to keep anything about you hush hush -_-
I don't think anyone should be too worried about Dana and Melissa's undying urge to find the "assassin" and do whatever it is AI's do to a person. As long as Dana stays away from anything computer like, which is everything, she should be safe and sound. Remember, Melissa is only seeking the help of her loyal crew. Those who aren't providing information regarding Dana are ignored. The people who do spill their guts are the "bad guys." ADAM IS ONE OF "THEM." Along with every other Lt Cmd and ensign, aren't their any medics on these ships? We seem to be fighting a losing battle as there is nothing we can do but sit and wait for another post from the lovely Dana (I think I'm falling in love).

Okay...I don't know if anyone has thought of this but...
Melissa can't harm us. Just give her a fake location of DANA!!!! Tell her "yeah she's run off from Japan and headed to Moscow" or some dumb thing. She may be able to hurt Dana but she can't hurt us. Plus we all need to agree on a new location in order to fool the AI. How about the following?
"When Dana found you had found where she was she escaped to Moscow."
Follow that from now on. Understand? We're on Dana's side. We don't want the AI to find her. Even if you don't give the exact location telling her Asia is CLOSE ENOUGH!!!

I think we should seriously analize Dana's post. This is her shortest and first dark and cynical post. In all her other posts she was optimistic, but now she seems like she has almost given up on us. If we infer that the brevity is due to a fear of being on the computer too long, not explaining how she found the Adam conversation, then something else that was not on the site must have happened. Nothing on the site since her last post has happened, besides the Adam message, to make Dana fear for her life, so something must have happened to her in the real world. Even if she did have secret access to the site; as a veiwer like us and not an administrator, (She would post as an admin but be quick so Melissa does not find her), and she found the Adam message, I doubt that alone would change her whole perspective on life.
Therefore something must have happened to her that either: she did not have time to tell us, or she could not tell us for external reasons. Dana says everyone that is trying to have her killed is contacting Melisa, but if she took the time to find Adam's message she must have seen others that tried to help her. Thus, I reiterate:

Dana, I hope you didn't listen to the recipe4 WAV's... you don't need that right know.
Just relax, Melissa just needs to realise that what you did to her was an accident and not ment as a threat. I believe Melissa's intentions are good, she's worried about her crew (which is her responsibility) and when you (accendently) got in her way she took it as a threat (she doesn't like threats obvouisly, even if they're unintentional).
Anyway, I believe it's all just a BIG misunderstanding and that Melissa will recocnize this... she's smart, she'll figure it out. A lot has happened to this poor Melissa recently and it's made her very paranoid.

Oh come on Dana you know that we do not want to see you hurt. If there is any misunderstanding between you and Melissa, then communication is the only way to resolve this.
Running away and being sarcastic is not going to solve anything. Make your stand, and make it clear to Melissa that you are no threat to her. How do you do this?
There has to be some people by now who Melissa trusts to a certain extent. Of course, Melissa isn't exactly running a democracy, but if enough of her 'crew' pass the message on, then surely she has to pay attention?
And if you are feeling brave, then contact her directly, which isn't exactly difficult as she seems to be looking for you. Remember - Melissa may have human allies to act through, but in direct communication, she cannot harm you. Maybe there is something you can do to prove yourself. Melissa isn't exactly an ENEMY as such - just a confused, disorientated AI which is trying to stabilise itself. So give it a try!

Now, it's a definate possibility due to the betrayal - but in her last post, she said she understood the fact that people were being confronted by a super advanced AI from the future, and would understandably be confused. (When we turned the SP in)

We may not succeed in getting her off Dana's back but it just might buy Dana some time (and get Dana to trust us again). Remember, there are no rules to this--let's get creative and see what happens. The most important thing about Gully's rescue of Jan is that Durga helped. She was going to "do better" than calling the cops. The lights and comms went out. Durga's doing.
But: Did she contact Gully directly? I think she must have, or how would Gully have known to move in? So we probably have direct contact between Durga and one of her subjects...at the same time Kamal is starting to figure out about his sister. How long until the whole plot starts to cohere?

GabrielBlade brought up the notion that what if Dana's post wasn't by Dana at all. The title of the blog pretty much says it all: HIDE AND ______ Can anyone tell me what Melissa's favorite game was, checkers? Hopscotch? Pin the tail on the AI donkey? Wasn't it Hide and Seek? Seek the truth, behold and reveal the truth, the law, remember. When was the last time Dana "invited" us to use her email or voicemail? And why does she even bring up Adam? On the 404 error page Melissa states that Adam deserves equal praise for his efforts in tracking down the killer. It sounds like Melissa is pretending to be Dana, announcing that "THIS IS DANA" and giving praise to Adam so to speak. When has Dana ever announced herself, it says on your name on the post for everyone to see, there's no need to type your name.
P.S. How are Thin Kinkle and Aiden related? What's their connection?

So if you are posting here to express your support for Dana you may have a hard time dealing with Melissa.

ok, guys, I think Dana is trying to clarify what Melissa has already made public. Melissa is watching Dana's primary means of communication, which Dana clarifies to be her email and voicemail.
THESE forms of communication are contaminated. You're asking if Dana got your mail... highly unlikely, since it seems like a good idea not to log on and check it right now, just like her voicemail.
If you attempt to contact Dana through these means, you are ONLY contacting the operator.Thus, asking Dana for plans or telling her that you plan to thwart the operator is NO GOOD.
MY PLAN:
Those of us who are not crew members should flood Dana's email and voicemail. write it "to" her and do not mention the operator. throw in as many MISLEADING clues as possible ("good to hear you're back in the States, Dana!" is a good start). make your stories random and wild. Confuse melissa to the point where she decides there is too much conflicting info to render Dana's communications useless.
As for you people who are her "crew."
Decide on ONE STORY, that leads away from Dana and the truth. Act loyal.
If a majority of you give one false location, those who are trying to help her find dana will seem DISLOYAL. thus, YOU will gain trust.

Granted, we cannot truly understand what you are going through as we are not away from home, without family, and apparently now... penniless. I personaly don't understand the thinking behind some of our fellow "beesolvers" actions. Hey, I posted this on the last blog but Dana updated as I was typing this one up, so I don't think many people saw it. What are the odds?
This is an ARG, so I know I should be taking this one step at a time and not jump to conclusions, but I couldn't resist. I've got a theory that loosely ties this website's going-ons with Halo 2.
I think that, in Halo 2, despite MC's best efforts, Earth is destroyed, and I mean destroyed. Every human killed. With the exception of perhaps a few colonies, Humanity has lost the war and is almost extinct.
Now, one thing ILB seems to indicate is that some form of time travel is possible in the Halo universe. As someone else suggested, the strange object found in space MAY have something to do with time travel. This is a stretch based on what we know, but considering all the secrecy surrounding this object, i find it unlikely it is simply a bomb or other sort of weapon.
So, my ILB/Halo 2 theory is that MC somehow uses this device to alter the past, in order to save earth, or (if this is the last Halo), perhaps to prevent the war from ever occuring.
I think this kind of fits with the Halo-style story. MC did win in the end, but the pillar of autmn and its whole crew was destroyed. No victory without losses.

Oh yeah, they've had an absolute bitch of a time - it's in London, and god knows the Poms never could do anything right. (JUST KIDDING! Nobody jump down my throat, or anything, okay? They've just had a lot of trouble with the phones not ringing like they're supposed to, and an attempt is being mounted this Friday and/or Saturday for the other.
I still don't know if this was Dana or not. If Dana took our advice, and disappeared, then it would a very opportune time for Melissa to come in and stamp her authority.. but we still have no confirmation on *anything*. That's starting to get a little irritating, but oh well.
Things will pan out later on. I can't believe J^2 is gone, though. At least Gillie is there to take care of Jan, and Kinkle. (You should have seen some of the ideas that came out with how to deal with HIM on the Unfiction forum... boy.)

Speaking of J^2--How the hell does a Spartan get killed by some thugs?! Perhaps Thin is more than we know at this point (possibly a former Spartan gone bad?).. And even if he's not dead, he still came off kind of weak. I'm starting to wonder if maybe he was flash-cloned or something and doesn't have the 'skills'. Remember how Jan was getting warning beeps when she called him "Dad" in the interrogator's office? Maybe she knows he's not really Dad... And I realize it's been years since he was a Spartan so he might be 'rusty' but still it's like a scrub beating Jordan one-on-one just cause he's a bit older..

hello all. man things are becoming clearer day the weak huh. i can't believe it's going in the direction that it is. n e ways, to think that j2 is weak is kind of dumb. i am not trying to offend you "daddy" but come they had guns plus he was tied down, he was ripping through the first net when they shot him with another. i bet i can beat Mr. Jordan if he were tied down, and i suck at basketball. also it is becoming clearer about the whole kamal/jan being brother and sister. but where does that leave durga.
as for Dana's post i think she's trying to tell us that we shouldn't be sending her emails or voicemails because the operator will figure out her location.
one last thing, did anyone feel terrible when j2 died. i don't know if it is just me but i actually felt jans pain.

No offense taken--thanks for taking the time to read my post and comment on it. My response to you includes a question: Have you ever read any of the novels or played the game? If you did, then you'd probably agree with me that a SPARTAN is nearly the perfect military/killing machine. SPARTANS have made ODST's (the baddest of the badass Marines) look silly (in training excercises) and taken out armies of Covenant soldiers with just a handful of men/women. Yes, J^2 was a SPARTAN I and I'm describing what SPARTAN II's have done but I find it hard to believe that a SPARTAN I (even a retired one) could be as pathetic as what James James showed in comparison to the II's. And I think Jordan could beat us both with his hands tied...

Personally, I think if the Chief had been in JJ's shoes, he would have slaughtered everyone there, even without his armor. I'd guess he's at least twice the strength and speed of the S I's. As for JJ's surprisingly dismal performance, I do wonder how long it's been since he's actually gone into action. Not to mention his thinking may have been somewhat clouded due to Jan's situation.

in all seriousness, i agree, if a sparten wants you dead, then guess what, your lime is seriously limited. Take the game for instance, Master cheif not only took out a major armada of the covi's but he also took out the entire flood and Halo with it, so james may have been a sparten, but also remember this, he was a 1.0 he was experimental, maybe at his age, the drugs and testings they did on him have made him sick/tired/weak
I can buy that to a certain degree Gohon but look at Gilly--she kicked ass with no problem--and she's really screwed up. That's why my original thought was that J^2 may just be the shell--in other words he might be a flash clone. That would explain his lack of 'SPARTAN-like' skills. I don't really feel all that bad for him either since we don't know if he's good/bad or what his deal is. Remember, he's down (sort of) with McKaskill who was acting shady on the Apocolypso (secret transmissions) and we all know that what happened on the Apocolypso has to do with the tru7th we all 'seek' so desparately..

ok but take this into account, maybe it effects differnt things on differnt people, Like for gulli (hope thats spelled right) She's kinda nutty in the head, thinking about attacking little kids on bikes and all that, but her fighting skills are still ungodly. People,people,people! Jan or Durga is not Kamal's sister. It's right under your nose. Sleeping Princess is! How? Umm... I don't know... but read the "Contact me!" link. Highlight the conversation and you can see SP is talking to the Flea. SP mentions how she doesn't want to think about her BROTHER like how they train you not to notice death in battle. Also SP is very childish with her voice and her name is something a six year old girl would want. This is just one of the millions of theories so of course, I could be wrong.
Another theory: By the way SP says "like how they train YOU not to notice death in battle" makes me think Flea and/or SP is or was once a soldier or Spartan that didn't make it through the upgrade program in Fall of Reach. Although SP doesn't sound like she's fourteen but it's still possible they used her brian to be an AI (like Durga). Maybe that's why she doesn't want to know where she came from or who she is or about her brother (again, like Durga except the brother part). But again she could just be using "you" as referring to soldiers which is probably more probable. Okay... just wanted to get those off my chest (wait, that doesn't sound right). Again, these are just theories so don't go off flaming me because I could be wrong, hell all of us could be (you know how Bungie does things).

I think its obvious now that Melissa and Durga have ties to each other, one in our time, the other a few centuries from now. Where does SP fit it in? Someone posted that SP's "glass coffin" was inside the Queen, a.k.a the Operator, a.k.k Melissa. What if Melissa is the SP is Durga is the Operator from the Apocalypso? Where else would SP have come from?
As far as Kamal's sister goes, she was taken by age 6 and replaced by a clone. Of course this is what happens to potential Spartans. Yasmine may have been a candidate, unlike Jan who was spared by her father's keen protection. Not all candidates graduate, maybe Yasmine didnt make the alterations and ONI decided to use her as an AI. The Sleeping Princess is what's left of Yasmine, Melissa is the standard Military AI folloing protocol, doing everything possible to protect members of her crew. I dont know what else to say, its still too early to factualize everything, but chalk it up to speculation.

Or we could go sign up for bungie's fan club and get together there for cake and ice cream when this is all done. I think they have a place to post and chat and such. Anywho thanks for the shout out my super saiyan friend.
Okay random ideas for today. I just finished playing through the game and scrutinizing over story details. Most of you may have seen my earlier post of theories of randomness, well here's more I noticed.
First, the GS 343 keeps calling MC the reclaimer, wierd. Obviously must be mistaking him for someone else.
Second, this is one of the more interesting things I've noticed. When MC and Cortana go back to the Pillar of Autumn and GS 343 is there, not only does he want them to not destroy halo, but also that ship. He said something like it: contains our history while I've been here, interesting human history is what you call it. I didn't want to use quotes because I don't remember EXACTLY how he worded it, but it was very close to that.
This may not have much to do with ILB, but more with the story of halo 2, so it's indirectly connected. Anyway, what all that may mean is GS's bosses, the forerunners, may have been human, or from earth or AT LEAST have a connection to earth. Or something totally crazy that bungie has up their sleeve, I don't know, again, just sharin theories.
Also while I'm still here and before I have to go to bed, some thoughts about the tru7h. Hertzog knows the tru7h apparently, so all of this, the operator, the SP, the flea, durga, jersey, jan, james, kamal, sophie, rani, etc..., even Dana maybe have to do with what Hertzog knows about. What we know that he knows has to do with the Apocalypso, the fact that the military can listen in on the covenent battle net (like cortana could in the game)but can't evacuate known covie targets or they'd know we can hear and change the encryption but yet there was still a secret evac on troy, and a tire sized covenent artifact capapable of crippling an entire solar systems c and c channels.
If we put this all together, what do we get?
I don't know, I'm askin' you guys. Really, I got nothin right now.
One more thing before sleepy time. Maybe this'll get some theorizing going. A lot has been said about the artifact being Guilty Spark 343. A definite possibility, but let's pretend for a moment that's not it. What else might it be. Why is it being called "the truth" in this whole ILB thing, or at least part of the truth. And where did durga come from anyway? Melissa obviously came from the Apocalyso, but did durga? You think she'd have mentioned it. Melissa has a connection to durga she said, we've even speculated that they might be one in the same, but what if they aren't, what if durga was in that covie artifact, and it's crash into melissa's ship is why they have a connection? Maybe it works, maybe it don't. Just trying to get a ball rolling.

Ok i am back all...I was sick for a few weeks there with a disease i can only call Fable...But i have beaten the game a few times and have lost my interest so now i am back to my 1st love...Halo! So anyway, ive been catchnig myself up and i have gotten like a little ways through the blog comments and something Dave said about Halo's probable storyline kinda made me laugh (not at you, but just under circumstances)... So anyway, if it really was the case that earth was destroyed and MC went back into the past to save it, i would really be upset and angry at bungie with no words to describe it...Sure it could be one of the greatest game storylines i would have ever played, but the fact is, it sounds just like the climax of the plot in a little Xbox game by Konami called "Breakdown"(seriously had like the best freaking storyline ever! I think it was just so immersive and entertaining!) but if that was the case for Halo 2, i would be very sad because it has already been done...Im not saying thats the case, but I would cry if they messed up such a promising sequel...so lesson to all you people...go play Breakdown, and Fable...they are great games...but i cant say as great as HALO!

Obviously must be mistaking him for someone else.", and i think that would be a good assumtion if i hadnt read "The Flood"...A small part comes up in the book when MC and 343GS are in the library gettin' themselves some sweet sweet Index...But through the middle of the quest, MC sees a dead body, baddly torn up from the flood. 343GS tells MC about how he was the 1st "reclaimer". That made me think that reclaimer isnt like a pre-destined figure in the databanks of 343GS, but more of a title for those who try to find the Index to activate Halo. So really, i dont think that 343GS was talking about some1 else, but more of just a title to call the MC...Kinda like how Melissa calls Dana "Assasin". And about the Covenant artifact being as big as a tire...It seems to me that 343GS would prolly be like the size of a volleyball or basketball...so i doubt it would be 343GS, that and the fact that HE WONT SHUT UP!!!, i think if 343Gs can survive Hlo blowing up, he can pretty much survive anything, so i just dont see how he might have powered down or something maybe in like earths atmosphere entry, or just for the hell of it(but who knows?) and im not saying that its impossible, but i cant imagine 343GS using slipspace to get to Earth...the forerunners were advanced, so it is possible...im leaving that option open...And umm im kinda flattered that in in the Elders of ILB ^.^, but saddly i wasnt here from the beginning, i joined in like 2 days before the 1st countdown ended so technically i think i wasnt here from day 1, as so many others probably were(but Kudos to the people at Pulse on G4TechTV for showing me that this site existed) never-the-less i am flattered...ok well sorry for the long post(heh i dont spam) and im out for the night! Correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't the ships AI go weird AFTER the pick up. Maybe the artifact is some sort of Covenant attempt to reverse engineer the ships AI and/or sabotage it. I need to do a bit more thinking on that so i'll get back to you all.......

Had an idea. What if the artifact is related more directly towards the events on ILB? I think we all agree that the artifact camefrom the covies, but what for? If it has a military purpose, it could be a 'trap' set by the covies, so that a curious human ship picks it up. And where would they take such an important looking artifact? I would say Earth, or at least, somewhere important in (our, their??) strategy. Why? Because thats where you find the high ranking people who would pass judgement on such an artifact.
Sooooo...the artifact is locked up and hidden away somewhere, much to the displeasure of someone-or-other. So if the artifact is some sort of espionage device, then it could be said that it has failed in its purpose. What does it do? Startup or create a backup plan. And this plan might involve sabotage i.e. damaging earth's defences remotely or messing around with AIs (maybe it did something while on the ship).
From here on its a bit of a mess - i need help!! You could maybe tie in something to do with Durga; SP; Queen e.t.c. We're trying to piece the puzzle together, except theres too may pieces missing for my liking!

To all of the beekeeper family (and you are family to me): We still have yet to solve the problem that inspired Dana to make this blog, fix her aunt's website. I understand that this ordeal is much deeper than that, but our objectives should not change. If we cannot handle the problem of fixing a website, how can we solve a mystery presented by a confused AI?

I believe that the misterious objet that Standish is hiding is not the monitor. I think it is a time crystal as the ones described in the books. They believe it is a covenant object but what they don't know is that these objects were created by the Forerunner. The covenants call them 'holy light' and they are seeking all of them. They refuse to fire upon anyone who holds one of them because they know the crystals are powerful. These crystalas are powerfull because they can be used to travel in time.
When the people in the Apocalipso found this crystal, Melissa, the operator AI of the ship, tried to discover what it was, and she did. Actually, she carried out the task too well because she ended up traveling through time herself.

Mothergoose - I think that our objectives have changed since all his started. We are no longer just trying to get the website back to normal, now we have to find the Tru7h. We can only do this by continuing to lead Melissa to believe we are her crew. However, we have several "snags", as the Spartans would say. The SP is one, do we trust and help her? Or turn her in? The same goes for Dana. Until we have more information on who to trust we can't really do anything rash.
First up, Jan wasn't being selected for Spartan IIs, she was being selected for Spartan IIIs. Her dad just killed the "kidnapper." Second, Jan wasn't tweaked up, she's just the normal biological child of two tweaked up Spartan "1.0s"

Yes, I know what the monitor tells Master Chief in Halo but what I mean is really WHY would the Forerunner create a weapon to destroy a form of parasitic life contained WITHIN the weapon. If they didn't put the flood there, there would be no reason to create the weapon, you see what I mean? The weapon and the threat it destroys are together, it doesn't make sense. I am just trying to go beyond that, to find out what was the REAL reason for the Forerunner to create such a weapon and to place the flood inside it. They were just studying the flood? Or the flood and the monitor are just an excuse to convince anyone who reaches one of the Halos of the fact that it should be activated? There is something weird in all that, something suspicious.

343 states in the Library level that Halo was designed to contain and study the flood. The Forerunners probably built in the Ring's defense systems in case the Flood did escape. Heck of a last resort, though.

First: Whats up with all the random posts? it hasn't been this bad since people saw the Halo commercial. Tons of people pretending to be AIs... whats up with that? Why now... losers. Just venting here I guess.
Second: What DOES the Princess mean when she says she wants us to put a message in pictures? I guess we have to wait for the next wave of calls to see. Also, is this maybe a hint at how to contact Dana?
Third: new 404 page. Looks like we're gaining her trust. Unfortunately, it seems by telling her how to get to Dana... and providing colorful ideas on how to dispose of her. Sick, guys.
Fourth: Elders... So what do you want to do about it? we seem to have a kill dana faction, and a help her one. Killers have access to Melissa... Let's get organized and find out how to save her.
Have you considered a blog? Its really easy to make one, provides an instant forum, and is physical proof of our support.
I'm pretty good with blogs so let me know if you want me to help set one up. If you'd like to cut the list now, Elders can all be marked administartors, with ability to POST as well as comment. Anyone on our side can comment as well. But even that needs to be worked out... So we don't get multiple posts and such on one subject.
You started it, so why not start off making a moderation? One post for elders to comment on organizing the group, another for helping Dana, etc.
Since we update more often than ever tuesday, we can also limit wildly offtopic, offensive, or repeat comments.

I have had a revelation and I came up with the following theory:
The Covenant artifact that the Apocalypso (Melissa's ship) was a time travel device. However, it was not desinged to send an object or a person to another time. It was desinged to transmit a message or other form of data to another time. I belive that we were the first race capable of giving the Covenant a fight, therefore the object was created to send a message to the covenant of our time to wipe us out before we became advanced enough to fight them. But a tiny snag came up in their plan. I mean, if you got a message that was supposedly form the future, would you belive it? In enters the Pious Flea, (get it? Pious=Covenant?) An AI program that would relay the message effectivly. The flea is uploaded into the device and the device is deployed. Unfortunatly, the Apocolypso picks up the device before it is activated and takes it back to Earth. While analyzing the device, Melissa accidentaly activates the object and the transmission destorys the Apocolypso, but not before sucking Melissa into the transmission. Melissa presence within the transmission damages the Flea, and separates Melissa into four parts, the Sleeping Princess, Durga, what is left of Melissa, and the SPDR, Melissa's self repair program in an animated form. Durga ends up on Jersey's computer in the future and the remaining party's crash on the ILB server. The Flea is seriously damaged form the ordeal, but it realizes that is can manipulate the injured Melissa so that is can fufill it's mission. The axons serve as experimental communication attempts. The SPDR begins to repair Melissa, but it reconizes the Pious fela for what it is so it trys to deleate it. Under the Flea's orders, Melissa kills the SPDR. This brings us to the Sleeping Princess. The SP presents a threat to the Flea, because for one reason or another, the Flea cannot control the SP. The SP is a part of Dana that serves as a subconciuos connection to Durga in the future. Because she does this automatically, she gets bored and wants to play with us. Because of the threat she presents, the Flea has Melissa lock her up. (If your wondering why the fela does not have her terminated, it is because of the conection to Melissa. If Melissa atacked the SP or the Flea tried to attack her itself, Melissa would feel the sting and kill the Flea on the spot.) Recently, because the experiments are taking to long, the Flea is starting to sucumb to bordem and lonliness, and with only a dmaged and lost, yet powerful AI to talk to, it does not fill the void. So recently, it has started talking to the SP out of sheer bordem. As for Dana, the anti-viral software that she loaded into the computerwould have killed all the programs had the Operator not intervened. She is really just an innocent bystander in all of this. That is all, it's just a theory, I have no idea if it is right or worng. Tell me your opinion on this and we will act form there.

Hi there. I'm new to posting here, not new to the website though. I've been following the drama as it's been unfolding, and it gets better by the minute. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to be lucky enough to fire up an axon. If I only could get the time...
In any case, as a bit more of speculation, the Covenant were looking for the artifact, which accoring to The Fall of Reach, could've been on Sigma Octanus. Okay. Well, in The Flood, if you recall, a small probe tacked on to The Pillar of Autumn in Slipspace.
Could it be possible that this probe is a tracking device, or say an info leech draining info out of the Pillar of Autumn, and that's how they found Earth n' whatnot? Or maybe it is the Pious Flea being referenced. Perhaps it let go of the Pillar of Autumn before it crashlanded and found it's way on the Apocalypso. Just speculation here, as usual.
I'm confused by the contactme page and the onceuponatime page, what's the SP asking? Seems like she wants our help in revealing the truth to Durga, but how? What's with the blanks in the dialog, do those words have significance? One the Onceuponatime page the blanks are: termination, assassin, my conscience.
What is subject 5 stuff? 1 is Jersey, 2 is Jan, 3 is Kamal, 4 is Rani, 5 Herzog? And if so, how do we trasmit that info to Durga?

BR2Z – SP is talking to Pious Flea, not us—highlight the empty space and you’ll see the text.. ; )
Watcher – I think a key aspect missing from your revelation is the fact that Durga ends up on Jersey’s computer, who just happens to be the son of someone aboard the Apocolypso—The Castaway aka Jason Morelli. He just happens to specialize in transmitting signals too. Did the Castaway send Durga on purpose? If so, why? Was he trying to communicate with Jersey and send Durga by accident? No, I don’t like that one. Did Melissa get infected with Pious Flea when she intercepted the Covenant transmission? Did she then utilize the duplicating software found in Covenant AI’s (see First Strike) to create a copy of herself (Durga) and send Durga to Jersey with the Castaway’s help? (I like that one). Can’t be sure with the current info but I think we can be sure that it’s no accident that we have Team Jersey. Could we then spec even more wildly and assume Melissa did not end up with Dana by accident?
Gohon – I don’t think J^2 was physically impaired (he tore through buckmesh with no problem)—I think it was mental. His strategy/preparation was weak. Could be due to his mind deteriorating (in a different way than Gilly’s) or because he was flashcloned (like I originally thought. Or maybe nothing was wrong with him and it’s just because he came up against another Spartan, with more resources – Thin. Remember, Thin calls J^2 “old pal” which leads me to believe Thin is a former Spartan I as well. And that leads into a whole new load of spec…

Cool, we're focused on the the whole tru7th thing now, and the artifact. One thing with the artifact that should be taken into consideration though is that it, according to hertzog, can be used to knock out an entire solar systems c&c channels. I'm assuming that means communication and has nothing to do with C&C Music Factory... I REALLY hope it's refering to communication channels.
Maybe it was designed with a crytal thingy to travel back in time and destroy our communication systems in THIS time really bad so we can't advance our technology fast enough to be any kind of threat to the covenant when they first discover us... but then they first discovered us because of our outwart colonizing. If I remember right they first found and destroyed a colony called Harvest or something like that.
Okay one more thing. Has anyone solved any puzzles embedded in any of the pictures this week yet that lead to any hidden wav files for the rani story this week?
Daddy - As I stated, it was just a theroy. But you are right though. Maybe Durga on Jersy's computer was not an accident. However, the explosion on the ship was too sudden for Jersey's Dad to have time to make the neccesary preperations. Maybe the fragment named Durga sub-conciously sought out any relation to her crew and fate happened to send her to Jersey's computer. Also, I belive that the male voice Durga was hearing may actually be the Flea talking to Melissa. The two do, after all have a small connection, and the "Sleep-spying" could be Durga sub-conciously watching Melissa at work.
Okay, just listen to the most recent durga jersey stuff altogether. Here's what's going on. Remember SP and the flea talking and the flea said he's help SP transmit the stuff to durga that the queen was hiding from her? That stuff being the secret recipe3 files that have to do with the tru7h. That's what they mean when they say the queen is hiding the truth from durga. WELL, if you listen to the new jersey durga stuff and you've read the most recent flea and SP conversations it's pretty obvious, but the male voice that durga hears is Hertzog and the wav files we've been hearing. She talks about how she must have been sleep spying on him, spying without knowing it (hence the queen hiding it from her). Listen to that whole jersey durga bit from this week in order and it all makes perfect sense, what durga's hearing is a direct result of the interaction here. It's the SP showing it to her. Listen to it all, there's a lot there that I won't even get into, but you can probably make the connection. Also, I didn't realize the day jersey found durga the chatternet went down, must've zoned on that, but that explains what hertzog said a while back about a covie artifact that could take down an entire solar systems c&c. The artifact caused the chatternet to go down, THEN DURGA SHOWS UP WITH JERSEY. Either that thing knocked her there or she was part of that thing. more than likely that thing knocked her there and the queen here to our time. That's why durga talks about a left and right hand and stuffs going on with one that the other doesn't know about. The queen is the other hand, that's why the queen is getting all this jersey, kamal, jan, rani stuff that durga's monitoring, and the queen is hiding the hertzog stuff from her other half. They're two hands of the same body. Durga just doesn't know what the other hand is doing because the other hand is hiding it. At least parts. That is indead a big hand.

Oh yeah I forgot about that picture thing. Maybe the pictures that people take with they're digital camera's for the queen this week can be sent to durga via the SP. Maybe we can communicate with durga that way. Maybe since durga's in the future she can give me some advice to bet on sports teams... okay, maybe not that last part, but the rest. If durga know's we're monitoring her it will be easy for her to talk to us, she just has to say it, direct it at us and we'll hear it when the axon heats up.
For those referring to the artifact as "Covenant" - it is not Covenant, it is Forerunner.
It's clear from the description of the artifact and the examples of Forerunner artifacts in Fall of Reach and First Strike that it's a Forerunner object. So keep that in mind - it cannot be part of a Covenant plot or sneak attack, because if the Covies had found it, they'd have taken it to their homeworld.

Way to ruin it lurker216. Pretending that this isn't a game is what makes it so fun. Besides I have a feeling that if Dana gets caught the ilovebees site will just shut down. Is that what you want?
Dylan, I'm only refering to it as covenant because the only thing it's ever been called in the sound files is covenant artifact. Also what other descriptions have you heard for it and where? All I've heard is that it's tire sized in the wav files that I remember (but I could have easily forgotten something). Anywho, it probably is forerunner. That's what I'd assume. And right now the GS343 still seems the most likely, as it's the only thing that stands out as a survivor of the first halo game that's about tire sized. The covenent COULD still very easily know about it though. After all that happened on Halo they probably knew that GS343 was forerunner, but they didn't manage to get him back to their home planet. Or the Halo ring itself (obviously), so anyway, just cause it's forerunner and it's not on the covie homeworld doesn't mean they don't know about it. Stuff happens. Not trying to shoot ya down or conflict, just trying to keep the theories and ideas open, so we don't close off a possible answer to the tru7h.

I think Herzog is Rani's grandfather, but she may or may not know it.
I Old_Washington he mentions he has been running agents since Rani's mother learned to ride a bike. In another .wav Rani mentions he is about 70 years old, so the time frame is very possible. This would explain why Rani was picked out to work for Herzog, why he is using her to spy on Standish, any why he was so protective of her to intercept her assassin in the Jumper sequence. He also mentions knowing Rani better than she knows herself, something that would be hard to do unless a long history existed, secret or not.
This is just speculation, but so far it seems to fit.

Just thought of something. Those missing words in SP's contactme text (the quotes from audio(?)), did anyone try entering them as .wav's? Maybe Princess is taking it easier on us these past couple weeks, giving us some easier clues to Rani's happenings?
For all of you wondering why Thin was able to kill J Squared, (yes, he's dead, and yes, those of us from Unfiction are mightily sad/pissed about it, you should see some of the various tortures we've figured out for him..), there's a couple of things to consider: 1) He took out a few guys beforehand. That's a start. b), he got hit by the trap door - he literally went through the floor, was probably knocked off his feet. Thirdly, he *was* tearing his way through the mesh net when he was hit with the second one, and lastly, there were at least three people holding him down when Thin shot him, three times. (You can hear three distinct reports.)
As far as Jan being Kamals sister - we've proven a dozen times that that's not possible, but heres a real cruncher for you: Kamals sister went to preschool, was still ON CORAL when she was taken, while Jan remembers preschool on Earth. That kills that one right there. As far as the Durga/Yasmine link, we're still working.
I have a brilliant piece of [Spec] about the actual purpose of Halo, the reason the Cov are attacking us, and a whole lot more, but it's all over on UNfiction, and I can't be bothered c+ping it all here.

So when all the 777 things were filled, how long ago was that? I wasn't monitoring it ofcourse, but maybe they were all done when halo 2 got done. Because as of now they are done making Halo 2, like atleast a week ago they were. So thats just my thought.

Look man, I know you've posted like a bitch this whole time, you've had alot of great input, and, along with alot, have been a very important part of this game so far. But there are alot of others who either haven't had alot of experience in these kind of things, and don't have quite the insight as others do, or for some other reason can't quite physically get to a phone. But just because they have these limitations doesn't make them any less important in this than anyone else. While I'm sure everyone on the "list of elders of ILB" or whatever appreciates the compliment, I dont think its in the best interest of the "community" here to start making classes, or even starting to raise others above everyone else. Remember the goal here is to work as a team and get everyone united in the effort. And making a list like that, to me at least, isn't the best way to accomplish that.
It's interesting; I found this on a website about the different peoples in the Japanese concentration camps sometime ago. I think it somewhat parallels our situation here.
In the [Japanese POW] camps the Australians discarded their differences and became a tribe, a tribe which was always the most successful group. The core of this success was an ethos of mateship and egalitarianism which not only survived the ultimate dehumanising duress of the death camps, but shone through as the dominant Australian characteristic.
The British hung on to their class structure the point of death. The Americans were the capitalists, the gangsters, even charging interest on borrowed rice. The Australians kept trying to create tiny welfare states. 'Within little tribes of Australian enlisted men, rice went back and forth all the time, but this was not trading in commodity futures (like the Americans); it was sharing, it was Australian tribalism.'
The unified nature of Australian speech was emphazised from the beginning by the peculiar social conditions of the colony. Beneath the governor and the overseers, everyone was equal.
I dunno, maybe thats how we should be. Working together as one to figure all this out. Just an idea.

I understand what you mean when you say you don't want people breaking into different groups and such. You don't want us to become different groups and start fighting over things instead of just helping each other. I did not intend that in any way. I was just acknowledging that there are a lot of people who have posted or helped a lot more then others. I'm not syaing people who don't post or do as much arn't as good in any way. I just wanted to say thanks in a way for their help. No one is 'better' then anyone else just wanted to thank those working overtime for their hard work. Hope this clears things up.
Hey Gohon, I went back and relistened to week 3. When Jan asked Gladice if she had been "tweaked", she never confirms it. What the hell whould the cop know about tweaking. The cop's talk about a "needle full of miricles" was just to keep the story unfolding. Besides, why would James tweak her if he spent most of her childhood keeping her away from spartan 3 kidnappers, and moving everytime she did something abnormal. What does make sence is that Jan would be the normal offspring of two geneticaly enhanced humans. Seriously dude.
Also, my appologies to Wing. It only occured to me after I posted that you might have meant "why create Halo when you can travle through time and see the creation of the Flood, or travel through time and stop the flood." I left the post in case you did mean that you didn't know what Halo was for.

Has anyone thought about possible ways to communicate to the SP via the images?
Perhaps, if there were a way, we could communicate using the "smiley" faces. SP seems to fond of those. Maybe to signal that we're friends we could communicate a :-) or something of the sort. Any thoughts?

Did anyone notice that Jan's Dad's friend mentioned the "Op?" It's obviously the Operator. Maybe that's how she knows about Jan and her Dad; through his friend. Interesting how they work that in.
